Nice room, perfect location, easy to get there by bus.
The breakfast is not very rich and it is same every day. In the room there is no hairdryer.

Cosy, stylish and warming hotel, vintage style, friendly staff, big bathroom, great location, big terrace
Limited selection of food during breakfast and it was the same each day ( for veg even worse), very bad like an instant coffee available during breakfast (for 2,5 EUR i had to order one i could drink), Wi-Fi only at the lobby, tiny parking place requiring hard core manipulation with rented car

We were made very welcome by the staff and the location was very good.
Location was good. Small hotel which we like.
We would have liked food and coffee to be available throughout the day. Tea and coffee making facilities would have been nice in our room.

It is being promoted as a four star hotel, it certainly not that!
It is well located for walking to the central areas of Funchal. It is Heritage property with several charming features. Nice garden area. The staff was pleasant and made us feel welcome. The rooms were satisfactory cleaned well. Our room had a lovely sea view balcony which was quite nice to sit in the evenings.
There wasn't any lifts so one had to carry heavy cases to all floors oneself. They had a reasonable breakfast rooms/conservatories which doubled up as Restaurants at other times. Unfortunately, they only did snacks at other meal times. The beds were not very comfortable. There wasn't any room service for ice etc. Neither was there any tea making facility, though they did bring a kettle. We had to buy our own teabags, milk. There wasn't a fridge so we could not keep the milk for more than a couple of days.
